Double-sided adhesive is a roll adhesive tape made of paper, cloth and plastic film as the base material, and then the elastic pressure-sensitive adhesive or resin pressure-sensitive adhesive is evenly coated on the above base material. It is composed of three parts: base material, adhesive, release paper (film) or silicone paper.


Double-sided adhesive quality inspection


1. Check whether there are cracks on the double-sided tape


When the double-sided tape is cut, if the cutting tool is not adjusted properly or the blade is not sharp enough, cracks will appear on the surface paper or bottom paper of the double-sided tape, and the fibers pulled out at the crack will be stuck by the adhesive. The occurrence of cracks may be continuous, may also be random, may appear in the drum double-sided tape on one side, may also have both sides, so, double-sided tape on the machine before processing, be sure to carefully check whether there are small cracks on the bottom paper and surface paper.


Then, take a section of sample paper after the above inspection, peel it to the base paper and check again whether there are cracks on the bottom paper and the base paper, because the cracks are sometimes very small, only after separating the base paper and the surface paper can be found.



2. Check whether the double-sided tape has rough edges


Double-sided tape edge smooth, no damage, is the basis to ensure the quality of double-sided tape, so, before processing, we must carefully check whether the cutting edge of the double-sided tape is burr, whether there is damage due to improper storage and transportation, and to roll the double-sided tape down 4-5 laps, carefully check its cutting edge.

3. Check whether the edge of double-sided tape is adhered and whether the base paper is coated with silicon


Adhesive edge of double-sided tape or silicone oil leakage in some areas of the backing paper will cause breakage of the face paper during waste discharge and not normal production. Therefore, before processing, it is necessary to take a section of self-adhesive material about 1 meter long and peel it by hand to see whether the edge or other parts can not be smoothly and uniformly peeled. Usually, the edge adhesion of the face paper and the bottom paper occurs in a slitter roll of the whole roll of coated adhesive material, and generally only occurs in the outer layer of 7 meters to 10 meters, so when the edge of the slitter drum double-sided tape has adhesion, do not immediately assert that the whole roll of paper has this problem.


In addition, it should be noted that peeling light weight surface paper (such as 60g/m2 and 80g/m2 surface paper) is larger than peeling heavy surface paper, the lighter the surface paper, the tighter the hand feel when peeling. 4. Check whether the cutting end face of the double-sided tape of the drum is straight and whether the rewinding tightness is consistent


If the slitting end face of the double-sided tape of the drum is not uniform, it will not only affect the registration during processing, but also cause waste disposal difficulties due to the change of the die cutting position; When rewinding inconsistent tension will cause the change of paper tension during printing, uneven tension will also cause printing quality problems.
